Hello hello! Last Thursday I had my practical medical exam (OSCE), so I decided to share with you all the weird and wonderful types of equipment you’ll find in a medical student’s bag!

Local gal studying her third year of Medicine. Often found running to my lectures (even though I live 5 mins away), watching medical TV shows, burning everything in the kitchen, and doing lots of regular studying (read: procrastinating).

Hi Sonna, I was wondering what your advice was on choosing your Gen Ed course and what you chose for your first year of Med?
Health science = no physics!
Biomed = one non-core physics paper (ie. it doesn’t count for your med school application, but NCEA physics is helpful preparation)
Essentially, high school physics is only useful if you’re doing the biomed pathway!
Hey, I think I already asked this quesion on another blog but, is it necessary to take physics in ncea to qualify to go to med school through health science
Hey! I was studying in UAE but recently migrated to here. Now I’m going to join 12th this year. My doubt is – Is 13th year considered as 1st year of uni? Could you please reply 😊
Hey Andrea! I’m from UAE as well! I moved here to do high school. 12th grade there is pretty much equivalent to Year 13 here! So they’re the same thing.
