The first day medical school! What a throwback. It was definitely an experience.
Much of the day was spent going through what to expect from medical school and how it all works. The highlight for us was the Whakanoa ceremony in the Human Anatomy Lab. Everyone was respectful. Prayers were said. The tapu was removed from the donors’ bodies before we started learning in the Human Anatomy Lab.
Also, my flatmate and I had to cook for ourselves for the first time which was quite the experience.
Please note that this is not an accurate representation of what an average day of medical school is like as this was only the first day. This was filmed before large amounts of content were given to us.
